Artifacts
Shared resources that work across every entry point. They are scale-invariant and single-player-capable. They fit in a notebook. They do not require organizational adoption.
Outcome Map. A single page stating the funded outcome in plain language, with current work mapped as vectors moving toward, away from, or orthogonal to it. Reviewed monthly. Keeps the engagement honest when the organization tries to pull you into its rituals.
Workaround Log. A running record of how people actually get work done when official systems fail them. Sticky notes, spreadsheet macros, swivel-chair integrations. Not evidence of user error. Evidence of system failure, and a blueprint for where AI can absorb cognitive drudgery.
Responsibility Matrix. Nominal owner, actual owner, gap. The gap column is the reason this artifact exists. Entries with a gap are flagged for trajectory correction.
Friction Analysis. A quarterly read across the Workaround Log to identify patterns by structural cause: procurement, authority, capacity, dependency, accountability.
Progress Protocol. Weekly. Three questions: what moved toward the outcome? What blocked us? What workaround emerged? Replaces the standup. Builds institutional memory.
