Forward Deployed Design Lead

What is the role?

You will lead design deployments with our strategic customers, from discovery and creative scoping through system design, build, and production rollout. You will work directly with each customer's design, engineering, and executive teams. Success is measured by production use, by workflow changes you can show in numbers, and by field feedback that changes the roadmaps.

What will you do?

• Own creative delivery on several deployments at once, from first prototype to stable production.
• Build full-stack design systems for customer deployments.
• Embed with customer teams and guide them in adopting what you build.
• Scope and sequence the work, and clear blockers early.
• Adjust scope, speed, and quality to protect delivery.
• Contribute directly in Figma and code when progress or clarity depends on it.
• Turn patterns that work into tools and playbooks other designers can reuse.
• Report to product and research how each design pattern performed in the field.
• Mentor newer team members.

Who are we looking for?

• Seven or more years of design experience, with at least three years in client-facing, embedded, or consulting environments
• A record of shipping production design systems and interfaces for enterprise customers
• Can explain creative and technical decisions, trade-offs, and recommendations to executives
• Demonstrated ability to work under ambiguity with high ownership
• Experience with design ops, team process, and cross-functional delivery at scale
